Online or in-person therapy: which is right for you?
Both online and in-person therapy can offer a safe, confidential space. Here are a few things to consider when deciding which feels right for you.

Therapy can take place in a room together or over a video call. Both can offer a confidential, supportive space, and neither is the “proper” way to do it. What matters most is where you feel able to settle and speak openly.
When online therapy can help
Online sessions over Google Meet can make therapy easier to fit around work, caring responsibilities or health needs, and remove the time spent travelling. Some people find it easier to open up from a familiar space of their own.
It helps to have somewhere private where you won’t be overheard or interrupted, and a few minutes either side of the session to arrive and to reflect.
When meeting in person can help
Being in the same room can feel more grounding for some people. A dedicated space, separate from home or work, can make it easier to step into the session and to leave it behind afterwards. It can also suit work that draws on creative or body-based approaches.
You can talk it through
If you are unsure, we can talk about it in your free consultation. You may also find that what you need changes over time, and that is okay too.
