Grief, walking and talking: finding space to breathe
Grief can feel isolating. Walking side by side with others who understand can make it a little easier to talk, to listen, or simply to be.

Grief is a natural response to loss, yet it can feel overwhelming and lonely. There is no right way to grieve and no timetable for it. Some days may feel manageable; others may bring waves of emotion that seem to come from nowhere.
Why walking can help
Walking side by side, rather than sitting face to face, can make difficult conversations feel a little easier. Gentle movement, fresh air and green space can help the body settle, and natural pauses mean there is no pressure to fill the silence.
Being with others who understand
Spending time with people who are also living with loss can ease the sense of being alone with it. In a group, you can share as much or as little as you like. Sometimes simply walking alongside others is enough.
There is no right way to grieve, and no need to carry it alone.
